Counsellor in Training (age 15)
- 1st CIT July 8th-21st
- 2nd CIT July 22nd-Aug4th
Our twelve day, co-ed program has been designed to train young people in leadership and camping skills with the intent that participants may return to Monahan in the future as a volunteer and later a staff member, providing all requirements are met. The CIT program focuses on skills in human relations as well as personal growth and confidence in oneself. Registration includes a Counsellor’s handbook to take home.
Counsellor-In-Training Requirements:
- A written explanation outlining “Why do I want to take part in the CIT program?”
- A letter of reference, and
- Applicants must be 15 years or older by Dec 31st, 2012
- Counsellor-In-Training Recommendation:
- Experience with Junior and/or Senior Challenge Programs
For Your Information:
- Arrival time is between 3:00 pm-5:00 pm on the Sunday of the week you register for.
- Final campfire begins at 10:30 am on the Saturday (12 days later). It lasts approximately 45 minutes, after which time you are free to leave.
- A confirmation letter with detailed information will be sent to you once your application is processed.
